Echo | 772 comments Finished Akata Woman, which was a good ending to the trilogy.

Echo | 772 comments Completed Broke Millennial: Stop Scraping by and Get Your Financial Life Together, which was very good overall, covered a lot of financial topics, and I'd recommend to anyone, regardless of their age, tbh.

Echo | 772 comments Finished up Love in Color: Mythical Tales from Around the World, Retold which was enjoyable. Not sure what'll be next. I have to travel soon, so will pick up something, I'm sure.

Echo | 772 comments Finished You Can't Touch My Hair: And Other Things I Still Have to Explain, which was a lot of fun and VERY educational to boot.

message 55: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Completed A Darker Shade of Magic, which was pretty good. Now reading Never Let Me Go

message 56: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Finished Never Let Me Go, which I liked the style of but the story itself was just okay.

Next up is If I Had Your Face.

message 57: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Tore through If I Had Your Face while travelling home. It was pretty good, and definitely different from most other things I've read recently.

message 58: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Finished off The Name of the Rose, which was a bit of a slog at times.

message 59: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Finished The Roman Hat Mystery and cannot say I'd recommend it to be honest.

Next up will likely be A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking.

message 60: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments I tore through A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking, which was a very fun and enjoyable story that I'd recommend.

Next up will likely be Felix Ever After, though I've also started in on Cupcake of the Month.

Echo | 772 comments Absolutely tore through Cupcake of the Month, which was a complete delight! Now I've started in on Felix Ever After.

Echo | 772 comments Finally finished going through A Program for You: A Guide to the Big Book Design for Living: A Guide to the Big Book Design for Living with my OA sponsor. It was a great read, even if it's unapproved literature.

message 63: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Completed Felix Ever After, which was a lovely read, and now starting in on Finding Me.

message 64: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Hit my 60, so we'll see if I can beat last year's 65 now, I guess!

I finished Finding Me, which was a tough but fantastic memoir. It is full of heavy subject matter, but Viola Davis writes beautifully despite all the ugliness of what happened.

Echo | 772 comments Finished rereading Things Fall Apart, which I last read in high school. It's still as good as I recall.

message 66: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Listened to Simu Liu read his memoir, We Were Dreamers: An Immigrant Superhero Origin Story, which was full of hope.

Next up is Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass as I try to get a few more challenges knocked out before the end of the year.
