Mine is The Princess of Cleves by Madame de La Fayette. Not one I'm very excited about, but hoping it will surprise me.
I thought about trying to dive back in to this game for the last 3 months, but my #19 is Agnes Gray, which I already finished a couple weeks ago. I may try to finish some of the books already selected in the months while I was trying to dig myself out of an odd sort of reading slump. That way I at least occomplish the goal of finishing half of my TBR game list by the end of the year, even if not with extra points. :)

Great title for October, happy reading.

My 18. The End of the Affair by Graham Greene 160 pages. A nice short one so I am happy about that.
My 18 is The Drowned World by J.G. Ballard. Also a short one, fortunately as I've fallen behind. I haven't read September's or October's books yet in spite of really wanting to read them both.
Mine is Julian Barnes’ The Sense of an Ending. For the 3rd month in a row I have been unable to find the book I know I have owned on my actual TBR shelf. So much for Death Cleaning. More importantly I seem to have lost my much tattered and annotated copy of 1001 books!
My #18 is 'day of the dolphin' which is short and on open library. Just read the premise and curious about how that's going to be pulled off.
Mine is The Melancholy of Resistance which I know nothing about, and it looks rather daunting. But I'll give it a try.
FINALLY! I get to read a Barthelme set of short stories (Come Back, Dr Caligari). For good measure, I will also read Amateurs once I am done, that will be the end of Barthelme for me.
My #18 is Sometimes A Great Notion. I read Cuckoo's Nest about 50 years ago so this one is probably overdue.
December tbr # is 8. What will you be reading.
And do you want to continue tbr for next year. So far those that have responded the majority would like to continue.
Happy reading.

My #8 is Winter by Ali Smith. Appropriate choice.I would want TBR takedown to continue, I look forward to each month’s number.
I also would like TBR to continue and I love that Pamela got Winter for this month’s read but unfortunately I my #8 is Journey to the End of the Night….not how I wanted to end the year.
My 8 is Mrs. Dalloway, and I would like to continue the TBR Takedown next year. It’s probably the part of the group I’m the best at keeping up with, although I didn’t get every month this year.
8. Empire of the Sun by J.G. Ballard. I am happy with this choice and I get to watch a movie after, sweet.
I want TBR to continue too:)
Don't forget to get started on next year's list. You will have to post before December 25th.

My 8 is Bel-Ami by Guy de Maupassant. Probably suitable enough for a December read.I really want the TBR takedown to continue. It's one of my favourite reading challenges across all my groups. I've fallen off a bit and not completed the last couple of months, but I'm hoping to catch up anyway and looking forward to putting next year's list together.

But it fits, the end of our year in North America is our longest night!

My #8 is Camus’ The Rebel. I’m looking forward to it - and, yes, please, to TBR continuing. I have my list prepared already!
I really hope this will continue! I will keep the books that haven't been picked this year and add some longer ones for more of a challenge.
My #8 and final TBR is "Billiards at Half-Past Nine". I've loved doing the tbr the past few years, but I think I'm just going to plow through all of the books I have left on the list in the new year until I'm finished (but will be doing the annual, and BOTMs and quarterlies where applicable)
My number 8 is The Red and the black which is the only book I did not want to come up in December but oh well.I would love to see this challenge back as it is the one I always prioritise. I have drawn up a longlist of potentials already.

I liked Surfacing, I hope you do to.
