"Sure you aren't." Corpes glanced at her and back to the hall. "Let's hope there aren't anymore guards."
Kiara looked down the hall and saw the princess call for more guards. "She's trying to get back up! We need to hurry." She.hopped off of Corpes back and insisted that she could walk herself. "I'm fine now."
“Yes”*Alvay quickly moves to Bianas side, and lifts her up a little so she can sit up.* “is that good”
"Okay. Get a move on, then!" He ran.
Kiara raced down the hall. The corridor was opening into a large, brightly lit room. Which was full of guards.
Biana nods, “Thank you.” She starts to eat the bread and takes a sip from the water.
"...Is this a bad time, because we can go..." Corpes said as soon as he saw the guards, and slowly backed up.
"Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to bother you boys." Kiara started to go backwards and was grabbed by the shirt collar. The guy lifted her up. "And where do you think you're going?"

“Well, I can’t do anything, unless you carry me around, which I don’t think you would like to do.” Biana laughs and shakes her head

"Oof" Kiara landed on the floor and quickly bounced back up. "Come on dirtbags! Out of our way!" She pulled out her knives again and started slashing.
"Don't be an idiot! We can't fight this crowd!" Corpes yelled as he kicked another guard.

"Run back? We just can't be taken!" Corpes dodged a sword blow and rolled for cover.
Kiara leaped and rolled. "Where are we supposed to take cover? Its all open here!"
"Get behind me! I've got a plan! Necro! Vincere! Dinner time!"

Kiara slipped behind Corpes and watched the scene unfold.

Vincere ate up Necro from tail to the head, and the red ghost shimmered with red aura. Vincere then passed into Deadeye's hair and then into his right eye. Now Deadeye flared with a red aura that covered his entire body.
Kiara stepped back a little. *this is weird* she thought.
"Here we go." Deadeye held a ball of dark purple energy--darkness--and threw it to the guards. It acted like a grenade and exploded dark magic, throwing the guards to the walls.
Kiara ducked as the men flew left and right. Suddenly there was another blast and this time it wasn't Corpes'. The princess was back! And unfortunately it looked like she knew sorcery. "So, the boy know magic eh?"
Smelling evil, Corpes turned, filled with lust of darkness, and said, "Correct. And you know some, too. Very interesting."
Kiara was...feeling something, jealousy? Maybe? She obviously did not know magic, she was useless for now. The princess laughed "I guess its time for a duel! Think fast!" She shot a bolt of energy at his head.
Deadeye had only a moment to dodge it. He barely did and his fingers sparkled with red lightning.
"Ki, out of the way! I don't want you hurt!" He yelled and then he charged at the princess with red electricity in his hand.

Kiara moved to the corner of the room and watched worriedly.The princess tossed energy at the ground and she disappeared in a bolt of lighting. She reappeared behind Corpes. "Too slow boy."
Corpes reacted instantly and backhanded slap to the princess' face with the dark lighting in his hand, sending her backward.
"It's Deadeye to you, madam. Can I have your name?" He said, leaping away from her.

The blow knocked her back a step. "Well Deadeye, its Variana to you!" She threw two balls at him.

Deadeye let them hit him, and he did not feel hurt. In fact, he felt more relieved and stronger. "Variana. Pretty name. Suits you perfectly." He moved his hair to reveal his right eye, which glowed in a red-orange color.

"Hmm, thanks. Seems I can't hurt you, oh well." She blasted the ceiling and a large piece of stone came off. She threw it him and while he scrambled to defend himself, she threw a huge energy ball at Kiara. "I can't hurt you, but how about your little friend?!" It hit Kiara in the chest.
Deadeye blasted the stone to not hit him, but he was late to save Kiara.
"Ki! No!" He turned to Variana. "You said you wanted a duel! This is between us!" In anger, he blasted a larger missile of negative energy, due to the power-up from Variana's gift.

"Oops, I think I hurt her" she laughed. The blast from Deadeye sent her sprawling. Kiara lay on the ground, the energy fizzled inside her.
"Ki!" Corpes ran towards his fallen ally, and kneeled down. "Ki! Do you hear me?"
She didn't respond. Her pulse was very faint.Kiara was trapped inside her own head, locked in terrible memories of her past. She saw herself leave her parents and sister, she saw herself attacked in the house and given the scar, she saw every moment of fear and pain she'd ever experienced times ten. She couldn't escape and they dragged her down.
