I have really high expectations for this book based on reviews by trusted sources who have loved it...Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype!! I have this book on hold at the library and it is looking like it won't be in before mid-month at the earliest.
I would like to join you on this book. I also have it on hold at the library and it’s look like I will also get it middle of January.
Hello Elaine and Emma. I received my book earlier than I thought. I have until January 23rd to read it. I will wait until the 15th to start so we have a better chance to read it at the same time. let me know if there is any changes in your schedules. thanks
I am at chapter 12 but was lucky to get another copy that I can keep longer. So I do not mind waiting a bit for us to be around the same place.
I am reading an arc without chapter numbers so I will have to go by % read. Up to 21% (view spoiler)
I have finished the book. It was difficult for me to get into the story at the beginning but after a few chapters, I was hooked. For a first book, it is quite good. I look forward reading the second one. .
Ive finished too. Yes, there was a lot of detail in the first third when I was really wanting the story to move along. But i really enjoyed it once they got going. I loved Edwin as a character and I enjoyed the magical world despite it not being anything particularly new. Historical fantasy is one of my favourite sub genres.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
