I like this even more than Bitterblue. In this book is more action. But I was also a bit worried because reviews hasn't been really positive. And I am reading this in Swedish that isn't my native language so postponing would have been sooo easy xD (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The last chapters were a bit slower, the ending took some time. All mysteries were already solved and the ending was more about characters: their decisions were they would go after all that has happened. But overall this was a positive experience (hide spoiler)]

Ending spoilers: (view spoiler)[ I really enjoyed the fast pace of the chapters leading up to Katu's rescue and all the plot coming together, it was great! But then the book just kept going...! I even said to my partner, the plot just wrapped up and there's 50 pages left 😅 If it was grimdark I would have been thinking god what awful twist is coming. On one hand I did like seeing what the characters did next, but on the other I don't think it was strictly necessary as they all did as we would expect. The keeper delivered the ship, fox decided to join Bitterblue, Lovisa is going to testify. (hide spoiler)]

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this with you both! Thanks for a brilliant buddy read. ❤️

Because I was wondering what was going on with my reading: the last 50-100 pages took so much longer than the pages before that point, haha. And now when you said it it might have been just that: there weren't surprises so it was maybe a bit boring to read. Or not so fascinating (hide spoiler)]
