The investigation leads to builder Jenson Butler, a convicted sex offender. Did you ever suspect he had something to do with the disappearance of Melody, Lexie, Paula and Helen? Why or why not? If so, when did you eliminate him, if ever?

Lynn (ftbooklover) Gosh, I wish I hadn't read this book so early in the month. I'm having so much trouble remembering details. I don't remember much about Jenson Butler.

He’s the guy that Steven hired to do the clearing. He was convicted when he was young of statutory rape.

Thanks. I read so many books, that I forget about details once I start another book. Maybe I'm just getting old and forgetful.

Same for me sometimes, Lynn. That’s why I have to mix up the genres.

You once told me that taking notes helps. I guess if I know I'm going to be answering questions, I need to do that.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I take notes for these group discussions. I can't keep the facts straight half of the time. Sometimes I still miss big clues.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments As far as the question, Jenson Butler was high on my list. I didn't know how he could be working on this many projects that had a dead body buried on them. I didn't eliminate him till the end.

I was convinced for a time that Jenson and Steven were a team. But, the more I learned about the abductions, the less that suspicion made sense. When I found out the details of his conviction, I completely abandoned any theories involving Jenson, thinking he was a red herring.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with you. I thought that Jenson and Steven were a team. Initially, I thought that Jenson got rid of the bodies, but then it didn't fit. I didn't give up on the team until about 60% in.
