Name that book......please

Hoping someone knows this book. The query comes from a FB group I am part of and sounds interesting but we have not found it yet!!

*Still cannot find this book ☹️. Anyone know it?

I forgot if it's MC or not, but it's where H gives h 2 guard dogs to stand by her/watch over her at all times to protect her. She needs that added protection because a very bad man is after her. One dog would stand outside her door or by the stairs while she sleeps, and the other dog would be with her in her room/bed...

How she got the dogs is: H took her to the pound/to this guy whose in charge of dogs, makes her stand there for some of the dogs to sniff her and the two dogs who obviously liked her he bought them for her & they were expensive.

Another scene I remember is H is furious/scolding her and one dog started being defensive trying to defend her from him and H definitely wasn't having that... it was so romantic 😭. Also, I think one dog got hurt...
