Thank you for setting that up Marie, just read this in the other thread :) adding this buddy ready to my calendar.

Cool! You are welcome, Kas! :)

I think I liked suburban haunting more, mostly because the haunted house setting appeals to me more than cruise. The twist was really, really good. Although the ending seemed a bit abrupt. Overall, I will definitely look forward to reading other works from this author. He really seems to deliver a well-framed, compact story in under 200 pages.

I have to agree with Sally - we rotate our reads and have buddy reads once a month for either Amy Cross or Matt Shaw. We are going to do an Amy Cross read next month. Come over as we have lots of fun on here. :)

Oh for sure...both authors are new to me; ready to be pleasantly surprised again!

Cool! Welcome aboard! lol
I did like the twist, it certainly pulls the rug from under your feet, maybe if the book was little longer and we got there in a better way? I actually love shorter books but this one could have benefited a bit more from connecting the beginning to the end if that makes sense. Half the book was about moving in which maybe triggers me because I moved last year and I'm still not over it lol.
I do like his stories, which I was lucky to discover through Marie's recommendations and will probably read all his other works :)

There is no "ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after" - with horror endings it is normally "the sunset is going to cook your butt and you are going to die a horrible death" (lol)!
Matt has ended a couple of his books before with a twisted cliff hanger - like the one we read with Hell's Reveal remember? We thought there would be another book to continue on and there isn't one out there. Maybe there will be one and maybe there won't. Mostly likely "won't". lol
Sounds good to me, Sally! I will scour the Cross books tonight and then will reach out to all of you. :) Love reading with you too! :)
