-
-
SF/FANTASY WOMEN Progress: 3/4-The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Instead of Cloven Hooves by Megan Lindholm I read Neige by Anna Kavan

If I haddent limited myself to only women I would have completed this without any problem!
- The Ice People by René Barjavel
- This Immortal by Roger Zelazny
Several Stephen King books in the series The Dark Tower
PHILOSOPHY/UTOPIA Progress:1 /4- Utopia by Thomas More
- The Island by Aldous Huxley
- Walden by Henry David Thoreau

This section should rather have been PHILOSOPHY/SPIRITUALITY ( 4/4 XD ) given my readings!

An interesting list! I like how you have divided your books into sections of what interests you. Different types of books keeps reading fun. Have fun & happy reading!
Interesting way to divide this challenge, I like it. I don't think I've ever seen a Mircea Eliade book on a list before, I hope you'll enjoy it. I loved his Maitreyi. Happy reading!
Irphen, good luck! Like how you did your list in sections of genre! Never would’ve thought of that! There are several I’ve heard of and can’t wait to read, along with others that sound interesting. Happy reading! 🐾
I like this list. I've read and enjoyed four of your books, The Night Circus, Siddhartha, The Haunting of Hill House and Mexican Gothic. Good luck and happy reading!
The Haunting of Hill House is very interesting, not what I expected as I recall. I love LeGuin's writing. I have yet to try The Lathe of Heaven. Good luck with your challenge.
Good luck. The only book I've read from your list is The Night Circus which I loved. Unfortunately I struggled with The Starless Sea, the 2nd book by Erin Morgenstern
@Patricia: Exactly, for me there is not really a point at reading if you always read the same thing, but still as everyone I have some kind of books that interest me most. Thank you! And hope you have fun reading as well!^^@Ioana: Well there is a first time for everything! I wasn't expecting to come accross anyone knowning Mircea Eliade either ;-) And I haven't heard of that one so I will go check it out :-) Thank you and happy reading to you as well!^^
@Emily: Thank you Emily! Well my shelves tend to crawl under those genres so I thought about brining them some relieve! ;-p You are welcome to drop in at any moment :-) Thanks^^
@Lea: Cool, I hope I will enjoy them too! :-) Thank you and good luck to y you as well!^^
@Bill: Oh, well that sounds interesting :-) I've read We Live in The Castle and also The Lottery so I wonder what this will bring. ^^ As for Ursula LeGuin I hope this one will be nearly as good as The Disspossed that I read this year :-) Thank you!
@Desley ( Cat fosterer ): Thank you and same to you!
@Vikki: Thanks! I hope I will ove The Night Circus as well^^ Oh that is a pitty, I've heard quite some good about The Starless Sea but taste is personnal after all and sometimes this happens...
So, i've read books by many of the authors; but not these particular works. I did read The Night Circus and loved the atmosphere of the book. The characters weren't very memorable, except the ones the author did not flesh out; which were the old magicians who started this mess. They were so very interesting. The circus is the MC. Period
Good luck and happy reading, Irphen

Even though I don't normally read the genre I enjoyed Mexican Gothic. Wish you the best of luck with your challenge.
Good luck with your challenge! You have some great books here and I added a couple of yours to my TBR list! I also loved The Night Circus.Vikki wrote: "Good luck. Sounds nice, I will see what I think of the atmosphere and everything :-) Thank you!^^
Denise wrote: "Even though I don't normally read the genre I enjoyed Mexican Gothic. Wish you the best of luck with your challenge."Well I do read this genre so maybe I will enjoy even more ;-) Thank you and good luck to you as well!
Really like how you organized your lists. I’ve only read The Night Circus, which I enjoyed. Need to set aside a bit of time to look at the other books because based on your categories and titles, they all look interesting.

I like the way you organized your list Irphen! I have some of those in my TBR, so i'll be looking forward to see what you think of them.I only read Utopia. It was an interesting book.
Good luck :)

Thanks! Cool^^ I think it will be interesting indeed! Thank you and good luck to you as well with your reading :-)
Well it's been a long time I haven't been checking anything around here so as expected it wasn't doing great with my progress! XD I suppose I will have to come to a thing were reading half of the books I planned to read should satisfy me. And obviously as a result I tend to put the books I didn't read on the list for next year, but it's more of an indication because I'm the kind of person who reads what she wants to read on a given moment. ;-pSo if indicated some thoughtful changes that could have made me complete the challenge, maybe next year I will make better reading plans and fit them a bit more, you never know!^^

Life happens and readers can be moody; what're gonna do?? I'm surprised I got mine completed, because I was feeling moody, as well.
Hopefully, you pick some stuff that works for you, if not, at least you're reading.

I liked my organisation of last year so I'm going to divide again my books in groups of 4 by genre or the like. Also some of my books from past year that I planned to read but didn't are moving on to my 2022 challenge ;-)
Progress: 10/12 ( + 4 )
