Veronica dug around in her pack. "Come on, come on, I thought I had something." She pulled out a pack of herbs. "Could these help?"

Jade snatched them from her grasp and studied them. He tossed some to the ground, muttering,
"No...no..no..and no..wait.." He picked one back up.
"This one will calm his fever for a bit."

Veronica watched as Jade tried to help Ian.
He ripped the plant into small bits, and looked up.
"Does anyone have at least a small bit of water he can swallow these with?"

Veronica found the almost empty water bottle that Inara had given to Ian. "This has a little water in it. Will it help?"

Jade nodded. As he reached for the water bottle, he felt his fingers brush Veronica's. He shook his head, this was not the time to think about that. He dropped the shreds into the water and shook the bottle.

Veronica felt the brush of his fingertips and she felt, funny about it. She quickly gave him the water and pulled back her hand. She helped Ian prop up his head so he could drink it.
((Jade reminds me of a mix of Jace, Jaron, Jacin and Leith)

((So i had celtic music up and they're playing Little Do You Know by Sierra and Alex...I can't complain I love this song (It reminds me of some book characters )) but it's not celtic. XD))
Jade looked at Veronica.

She nodded and started to walk towards the kitchen again.
He followed her, pulling his cowl over his face. (i have to help make dinner be back in 15))
Veronica stepped out into the hall and went back into the kitchen with Jade behind her. "Do you want to talk now?" she asked thinking back to earlier.
"About what?" He sped up so he was walking beside her.
He remembered earlier, but didn't know if they were thinking of the same thing

"About earlier here...you're the only friend I've got who's trust worthy. You make me feel...something I haven't felt in a long time since my mother." He smiled.

She smiled. "I'm glad I make you feel that way. You, actually, bring out a side of me that I hadn't really known before." She took his hand.

Jade's heart raced faster than normal. He intertwined his fingers with hers, and pulled her into a hug. He looked down and muttered into her hair ((lol))
"We should probably start looking for that herb."

They stayed in this position for a few more seconds before Jade reluctantly stepped back. He gazed at her eyes, realizing how blue they were. He smiled slowly, hoping she was feeling what he was feeling.
"You check the bottom cabinets, I'll check the top ones...you know? Since your short?" He laughed, teasing her.
