Hi, I found an old change of cover on the most popular edition that turned out to be different from the edition you wanted to be merged. Looks like the merge object could be turned into a proper ACE by moving the ISBN pair to it?

No, because you reverted to a cover that is actually wrong for that edition :-)
It's the one for ISBN 88-07-70103-0, which is already present here.
That ISBN 8807815753 / 9788807815751 has the cover with author name and title on the left, so it has to be merged.

Thank you for your explaination. I trust you as you seem sure the most popular had the wrong cover to start with (I google translated the changecomment and it came back as a 'cover update'). I'll revert my change and queue for merge.

Perhaps the duplicate was added because the cover image of the most popular edition is quite small, as the duplicate has much larger image. I'll add the larger cover file to the most popular once the merge has gone through.
