Thank you Denise and Barb! I'll take P with Pathway - I'm doing a reread of this for my book club:

Finished O for outdoors. There was far too much romance in the story for me to call it a cozy - especially some of the bedroom scenes, yikes! And Then There Was the One, by Martha Waters, finished 9/14/25 ★★★.5
I finished G for Gown with The Talisman Ring by Georgette Heyer 9/16 It's so amusing, I had a blast rereading it!I can Take R for Radiation Symbol with A Palm for Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman.
Next Up: S
S for soldiers on The Unwomanly Face of War: An Oral History of Women in World War II by Svetlana Alexievich
Next Up: T
Finished Q for quadruped; what a fun story!Newlyweds Can Be Knocked Off (Amish Matchmaker #6), by Amanda Flower, finished 9/18/25 ★★★★

I finished R for Radiation Symbol with A Palm for Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman. Always fun!I can take X for Exterior View with Decision at Delphi by Helen MacInnes.
Next Up: Y
Finished V for villa. Not a bad start to the series, but there is definitely room for improvement. A Villa in Sicily: Olive Oil and Murder (Cats & Dogs #1), by Fiona Grace, finished 9/28/25 ★★★.5

No, I've been reading and rereading her since I was a teen. She never stops pleasing me - I love the combination of spy/normal person/history/setting that you get from her. Do you read her?
I've been looking at her books for about an year now thinking I might really like them. Though the length of her books always steer me away. I need to just jump in and try one ... LOL.
Finished S for soldier The Unwomanly Face of War: An Oral History of Women in World War II by Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich.
Interesting book but became a slow read for me because there is a lot of repetition in people's histories. A slow read is fine, it is not a book you can, or want to, breeze through to do it justice. Very strong women! At times brutal and extremely sad. The Russian people went through hell in World War II, to say the least.
Next Up: Y

LOL."You should give one a try! Her masterpiece is While Still We Live, and I love it. If you're understandably wanting to start with some thing shorter I'd recommend The Salzburg Connection or The Double Image. Both are favorites of mine and under 400 pages.
Her books tend to start slowly and build gradually, but there's a reason for everything that happens in those early stages, and I think it makes the endings a lot more satisfying. Still, they aren't paced like more modern suspense books, and sometimes I notice the difference more than other times - it depends on my mood.
I'd love to hear what you think if you do give one a try!
Next Up: Y
I finished X for Exterior View with Decision at Delphi by Helen MacInnes. It was very satisfying - it's been decades since I last read it.Next Up: Y
Thank you for your update AND thoughts Teri! I definitely have her on my radar. I'm fed up with most modern suspense books and find I really prefer those written a few decades ago. Looking for: Y
I can take Y for Young Girl with The Elusive Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman. It's one of my favorites in the series.
Next Up: Z
Once someone clears the roadblock, the rest of us are able to get rolling again :) (Can you tell Hubby worked in highway construction before he retired? LOL)
I'll take C for clammy (a damp, foggy feeling in the air)
by Peter GraingerA Private Investigation
