I finished W for Water with Near the Forest, By the Lake: Discovering Nature Close to Home by Angela E. Douglas. It was one of the best nature essay books I've read - I kept sharing what I read with friends, so several of them have put I orders for when it comes out. I can take A for Arch with Book and Dagger: How Scholars and Librarians Became the Unlikely Spies of World War II by Elyse Graham.
Next Up: B
Finished Z for horizon and have almost forgiven the author for what she did to Kate a couple of books back :)The Singing of the Dead (Kate Shugak #11), by Dana Stabenow, finished 4/17/25 ★★★★
Thanks for the update Barb! You have me worried with your comment. I'm only read three of that series and I'm looking forward to reading more.
Sorry LOL Apparently what really got to me didn't affect many other readers, so it might not affect you the way it did me. Do yourself a favor, though - don't read the other reviews on GR before you read the book. Many of them give away a major part of the story :(All that said, it only took one more book in the series to restore my good faith in the author, and now I'm eager to keep reading more :)
