Karen | 621 comments I finished G for Gazing with The Day the World Came to Town 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede by Jim DeFede. It is certainly no literary masterpiece, but it is a great book about 9/11 in Newfoundland. The first mention of one of the passengers hearing about the first plane hitting the twin towers delivered a gut punch that took my breath away. I had to put the book down. Living just 50 miles north of NYC and knowing people who were there that day personalizes 9/11 for me all these years later. We read it for the nonfiction bookclub so it will be interesting to discuss later this month. Highly recommend! A moment of love in the midst of terror.

Jan | 20803 comments Thanks for the update Karen! I'm not ready to read about 9/11. Not sure I ever will be.

Teri-K | 1251 comments I finally finished Z for zygomatic arch with Holding Wonder by Zenna Henderson. It was so fun to revisit these sci-fi stories, many about teachers and young kids. But I had to take my time and not rush them.

I just finished a book with H for Horse too soon! But I can do
H for House if Nothing to Report by Carola Oman will work. There's a house outline at the top, and it is a picture of a house - from the inside.

Oh, dear! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick - I hope you make a full recovery. I'm glad you asked - it's not actually supposed to be a game of "I Spy, Can Jan?", is it? haha
