Need help uploading a new cover - librarian please help

Goodreads says only librarians and authors can change covers, but it's telling me I need a librarian!

I'd like to delete all the other images, including the ABNA one, which no longer applies.

Can anyone help?

I can add the new cover as an alternate cover edition, but the other covers will have to stay because Goodreads policy is that all covers are kept. There is some way that the author can select which cover is the default.

Do you have a copy of the image without the "kindle look inside " border.

I can't even delete the original cover. I don't know why we can't link to Amazon as it would make things so much easier.

You can't delete any of the older covers. If someone has shelved an edition with a cover - it stays. I think you can tick the 'default' edition on your author bookshelf.

I guess you can't link to Amazon because some books aren't sold there, anyone who doesn't have their books on Amazon would lose out.

I'd just like to be able to upload the new cover. Any suggestions?

The ABNA cover was just for the competition, and I've now decided to change the genre to general fiction, so it doesn't apply anymore. Bit of a nuisance if it's still sitting there saying 'romance'.

OK, I had to go check but try this.

Go to your author dashboard, select the particular book and 'edit details' - this should open the meta data page. Where the current pic is should be a hyperlink which says 'add additional images' then chose the appropriate file from your computer, and don't forget to tick the boxes.

I think there should be a tick box to select the primary edition. It might take a while for the new pic to overtake the old as more people shelve the new. If that makes sense.

Oh and people shelve books as they choose. So it may well get thought of as romance - even if not.

For the record, the second cover is better. The first one does look a bit - naughty schoolmaster. Sorry.

A.L. - Thanks. The new cover is added. Glad you like it. I can't find where you can make the new cover the primary cover. Every time I click on the book the old cover comes up.
The Romance cover was just for an excerpt for the ABNA award and is not for sale. I managed to get rid of the ABNA cover for But Can You Drink The Water? but can't remember how I did it.
Should I combine versions to make the new cover the default cover?

I'd combine them anyway. I have a feeling that it eventually pops over as more people shelve it.

Finally discovered how to make the new cover the primary cover :) It now shows up when I make the link. Hurrah
