rant time:i didn't want to move, they said we have to move. i didn't want to move to america, they said we're moving to america. i didn't want to move to NORTH CAROLINA guess what, now we're moving to north carolina. And they're so fucking insistent on sending me to a christian school, they literally picked the most idiotic school in the fucking state. I was not excited but hopeful about moving because a bunch of the schools i looked at had gsas and anti-homophobia policies and so i was hoping 'hey maybe i could finally go to school somewhere where i can actually be gay and not have teachers who i'm scared to come out to'
but they literally picked like the ONLY FUCKING SCHOOL that has NOTHING in place like that. They have nothing about lgbtq acceptance and the way they've worded some of their policy statements like 'not deviating from god's word', i can just tell that they're not accepting and that i'm not going to be welcome.
And I CANT SAY ANY OF THIS because i'm not out to my parents and I don't WANT to come out to my parents. and if i say anything it's going to be so suspicious, it's not a good enough reason for me in their eyes to not want to go to a school cause they seem homophobic.
and even like if the school isn't homophobic, we're literally moving to AMERICA like ik its nowhere near perfect there but it's a hell of a lot better than here and there are schools where my sexuality can be CELEBRATED rather than ignored with an awkward side-glance.
and my fucking parents keep talking about how 'this is a new opportunity' and 'you can discover yourself' no bitch it isn't, not when I have to pretend to believe in a god i don't care about and pretend to be straight and be categorized as a "wOmAn oF gOd" shut up please

this seems like a stretch, but some christian schools near my neighbordhood were pretty conservative but some students started a GSA, so maybe you can find your peeps and start one?
