I know! It’s great! Still have so many to finish reading and it just keeps growing! I guess that’s a good thing though, right? Never ends!Glad to have another reader who enjoys the series! 🐾
Yes, my thoughts exactly! I don't know where I'm at in the series, I think the one I've finished this year was the New Prophecy. I've got all the series until the one that is not finished. Then I've got some small novellas and a couple of stand alones (the big ones). I know these are 'children books', but I've enjoy them so much. Glad you like them too!
Thanks, Bill! Best of luck to your challenge as well! And you are welcome to try them!
A reader to a reader! 🐾
Reading through these challenges is teaching me how many books and authors I've never heard of! Have fun reading in 2022.
Hey, Desley! Thank you! This is actually the very first discussion I’ve ever created even though I’ve been a Goodreds member for not quite a full year. I’m still new at this and am willing to learn and grow with it, as I am enjoying this. What would possibly be my other 4 alternatives? Any insight or help with this would be greatly appreciated! 🐾
Hi Emily - normally we have 12 main books and 4 alternates, so if you don't like one of your choices, you still have a way to read 12 books and finish the challenge. Glad you are joining in things, and enjoying them
I think you're refering to another challenge, Desley ;) That's the 12 + 4 challenge. But it seems that the 1st annual reading challenge can be everything. So, the 12 + 4 challenge is a challenge wher you pick 12 books that you want to read and 4 alternatives. If one of the 12 isn't your 'thing', you can replace it with one of your alternatives. Maybe you can just make another thread with '12 + 4 challenge' as a title. I've got one too.
Thank you to the both of you! I really appreciate it! Okay, I will get to work on that and post it when I can! Thanks again! 🐾

Exactly. It's not necessary to have alternatives. That was a specific challenge in our old group.

Ah, I thought this reading challenge was a replica of the 12+4, just named differently to avoid confusion!
No worries, Desley! I wasn’t sure either and this is my first time creating one, lol! I plan on having two more challenges added and one I might make a 12+4 because I’m not sure if I’ll like all on my second list. At least it won’t b empty, rite? Thanks again for your help, my reading friend! 🐾
I love your list, some very interesting books. I haven't read any of the books on it, so that is always exciting for me. Good luck and enjoy!
The only downside to GR Emily is that you lose reading time by looking at everyone's challenges and then find more books you really want to read! :-)
I love mystery/crime books too. I don't recognize these, but I am not great with remembering titles and authors of everything I read. If you especially love some, let us know.
Sure thing, Bonnie! I try to remember when I finish one to leave a review! And I too sometimes can’t remember with so many I read; the cover is about the only thing that will tell me if I’ve read it or not, especially from way in my past!
Can’t wait to start this challenge! 😆🐾

This is the 12+4 challenge. So, please add your 4 alternates.
We may change some of the rules after this year; but for now it stands.
Good luck and if you need recommendations; I am sure Lea, Bill, Alissa or Desley canenable help you. LOL

Okay, Alondra. I didn’t realize. It’s all new to me.I will add my 4 alternatives momentarily before December 31st to this list.
What do I do with my other challenge that I created? Can I just switch it for something else or …?

Yes; get those alternates on there in case something doesn't work out.
Most definitely keep the other list. That one you can change after Dec. 31st; and it is more laid back. You can categorize reads without actually listing books out previously.
Just check out everyones individual lists and see what sticks. That is what I do.
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask any questions. :)

I don't think I've read any of your selections Emily. Which means once you start reviewing books, I'll be adding tons of new ones to my TBR. Can't wait! Good Luck!
Thank you, Michelle! You are welcome to see my past reads as well! I will definitely be leaving reviews; if not on this topic post it will be on my profile. Keep a look out! 😉 🐾So excited to start!!!
I'm not familiar with any of your books so I'm really looking forward to your thoughts about them. Happy Reading!
Thank you, Martha! I’ll let you know in my reviews!😉 Best of luck to your challenges as well and happy reading! 🐾
@Dawn-Thank you!🐾@Ioana-Thanks! I’ll be sure to leave my votes on what I read, so keep an eye out! 🐾
I’m going to chime in and say that I haven’t heard of any of your books but that’s all the reason I need to go and look them all up :)Good luck on your challenge!
@Yolanda-Thank you!🐾@Lillie-Thanks! Yes, please do! Some might be of interest to you. I do the same when I find something on others challenges 🐾
Welcome to your first year posting a goal/challenges on here!! I don't do a list of the 12 (yet), but always enjoy seeing how others do . Enjoy the process!
