I'm a fiction editor with over 5 years of experience and recently decided to start a blog that could help beginning writers improve their craft and learn more about the industry.

I just published the first post and thought I'd share it here.

A.G. Fleury | 16 comments Thank you for writing that blog! I agree with everything you said about writing your first draft. If I could add my own two cents worth. When I get an idea for a story, I prepare a general outline(beginning, climax, ending). Afterwards, I create my "Chapter Ideas" list; whatever comes to mind(good or bad). Afterwards I sift through that list and keep the good ones that have continuity with the story and character development.
