Ebook page numbers?

For Kindle Amazon only. For other books we try to use the publisher. I have seen the worldcat page number used if it has been specified for the ebook edition, but usually a note is made stating that is where it came from.
Other than that you usually just leave the field blank.
Reason for not using the device, is that settings on the device can make a difference on page count.
I've got one I'm reading now on Google Reader that is static... I can't change the font size (and it's pretty dang small on my phone!!) so can't change the number of pages... it's kinda weird! It's just 291 all the time... but the page number on the edition is just the same as the mass market paperback. *shrugs* It doesn't really matter since I don't keep track of pages read or anything.
I would just leave it blank, unless you find that the publisher lists it on their site as having a page count for the ISBN of that ebook.Sometimes they will have a 0 depending on how they got imported. I always remove that, since it is not right.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...I was wondering if you could edit the details of the book whose link I've posted above. It has 1558 pages and is the digital equivalent of Constance Garnett's translated work: Tales of Chekhov: 13 volume box set.

Hope you can do the needful. Thanks.

Do we have a policy in place regarding ebook page numbers? Do we use the paperback page count? The Kindle/Google Books pages? I don't want to edit anything without checking first!
