Completed: B5: A Classic NOT on Our Bookshelf that Should be There:
Temple of the Golden Pavilion by Yukio MishimaMy Review
I still have to read a book by an Asian author for another challenge I am doing...this might have to be the choice. :o) The bingo progresses!

I have thought about reading that one, Candi. I saw the movie a long, long time ago and I still remember the surprising ending. I think knowing the ending might destroy the book for me.
Completed N5: Classic by an Author from a Country you didn’t Read in 2021:

Completed O5: Book Published 1900 - 1949:

Oh Candi, I loved this book!! And I'm glad you did too. Wasn't it wonderful?! More people should read this book :)
And I'm happy that it came along with a Bingo -- your first!! Congratulations!
Completed B2: Classic written in your native language:
The Last Picture Show by Larry McMurtryMy Review
Sara (taking a break) wrote: "Loved the movie, just never got around to the book. Congrats on another slot on the Bingo card."I'm going to make an effort to watch the movie this weekend or the upcoming week, Sara! And thank you!!
Oh, that movie is disturbing! But you've shown me yet again with your great review that I need to get to this author ASAP.

Well, I haven't seen it personally yet, so I'll have to find out for myself if that's really the case or not :D

Candi, I had essentially the same reaction you did. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in being underwhelmed by this beloved by everyone else book.
