First book for 2022 and a qualified entry for all my challenges:All 8 Annual challenges, the first quarter challenge, and both January Challenges.
The Bone Collector
The second book for 2022 is Born of Silence book 5 of the League: Nemisis Rising series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This book is 614 pages long. So, this book is good for:Serial Reader challenge, Bookworm Take Shelfies challenge, Lets Turn Pages challenge, Color Challenge, TBR Challenge, A-Z Challenge, as well as the 1st quarter challenge plus both January challenges.
Rakóssy by Cecelia Holland has been on my to read shelf since July 28, 2014, so it definitely counts for the TBR challenge. It is 243 pages for the Let's Turn Pages challenge. Don't have C or H yet, so it counts toward the A-Z challenge. And this version has an ugly cover, so add to color challenge. The book is about a siege in the war between the Turks and the Magyars, so it counts for Bookworms Take Selfies as a War Story. Plus the January Marathon challenge. And that is about all.
Blasphemy book 2 of the Wyman Ford series by Douglas Preston. 381 pages. Added to my To Read shelf on May 1, 2015. On the cover is a ball of fire (I Spy challenge) of red, yellow and orange (color challenge).Also good toward both January challenges and the Mother Earth quarterly challnege.
Summer Knight book 4 of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. 446 pages. Add to my To Read list October 8, 2020.Used in all my annual challenges and both January Challenges.
Finished the January Rest, Relax, and Refresh Challenge with 4 of 4 books read.
Book number 6 for 2022 is a book that was on my To Read list the longest. 10 years since the day I put it on the list. Also good for let's turn pages, A-Z challenge, I Spy challenge, and the January Marathon but no others.Ghost Rider by Greg Cox, 272 pages, added to my To Read list February 19, 2012.
Gladiator Fight for Freedom Book 1 of the Gladiator series by Simon Scarrow. 272 pages. Added July 30, 2012. Gives me S for Scarrow. Fighting is a sport, so counts for I Spy. Plus the 7th book of January for the marathon.
Earth Strike book 1 of Star Carrier by Ian Douglas. Been on my TBR list since April 24, 2014. Good for all annual challenges plus it finished the January Marathon challenge.
For the first book of the February Fandamonium challenge we have:Echoes of Betrayal book 3 of the Paladin's Legacy by Elizabeth Moon, 451 pages, added to read on December 14, 2022. Gives me M for the A-Z challenge and there is beige on the cover so I get "brown" for the Color Challenge.
Mission of Honor book 12 of the Honor Harrington seires by David Weber added May 16, 2021. 600 pages. Good for all my annual challenges except Magical Myster Tour. Plus good for the 1st quarter challenge.
For the second of three books for the February Fandamonium challenge I have finished The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (Z for the A-Z challneges) 552 pages that was listed to read on July 4, 2018. Good for all znnual challenges except Serial and Magical Myster tour.
Finishing of the February Fandamonium challenge is The Cat Who Went into the Closet. 276 pages, book number 15 of The Cat Who series by Lilian Jackson Brown. Added to my To Read shelf on January 25, 2018. L for Lilian. This book advances all my annual challenges.
Watchmen by Alan )A for A-Z challenge) Moore. 416 pages but only added in January so no TBR. But did count for Bookworms, I spy, Mystery tour and also both the quarterly (1st) and monthly (March) challenges.
Night Fall book 3 of the John Corey series by Nelson DeMille. Added to my To Read list on January 3, 2019. Gives me D for DeMille and advances all my annual challenges. The cover is white, which gives me the 10th different color of 10 to complete the color challenge, but I will go ahead and do the remaing 8.

Not reading very much these last few months. Plus I just got bored with this book. So, I have finished Beyond the Highland Mist book 1 of the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning, 375 pages. I added this to my To-Read list on February 28, 2014.
OK time to start setting up the 2023 challenges. Yes, I still have 10 days to finish one or more of the 5 I am still reading for 2022, But I will use this to keep track of what I enter until I can do the 2023 member's corner.First, going for 50 books again. Done it 8 years out of 13 since I started this, so should be able to get it this time.

Reasons for the drop are numberous but mostly due to having retired and pursuing things that interest me; no long commute to work so I could knock out an entire CD of an audio book a day anymore; old eyes that can't see well; and going to sleep everytime I try to read.
But I should be able to do 4 books a month. I just did that in November. That would give me 48 plus pick up two more along the way. I think I can do this.
