Supernatural is one of the reasons why I am going to watch the Boys no matter what. Eric Kripke. I was disappointed in both
Revolution https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2070791/... and
Timeless https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5511582/..., but The Boys is better than both of those, though not nearly as good as Supernatural. I will keep hoping that he's got another one as good as Supernatural, though.

Almost finished with Arcane on Netflix, and I’m loving it. Beautiful animation and lots of cool fight scenes and landscape shots. I forget who originally recommended it but THANK YOU!
I watched Supernatural when it started, but stopped watching aroud Season Six. I loved the first seasons but started to feel like the show got a bit too "epic" after Dean returned from Hell.
Hey Kate, you should absolutely watch the original British version of Being Human it's 50x better, and my one of my wife's all time favorites.I think in general there's a bit of a glut in comic book adaptations, and most don't do the source material justice... I would recommend any time you find a show you like, check the source and go read the comic, you won't be sorry you did.
As to the topic at hand:
1) I enjoyed the Witcher alot, enough so that I've now read most of the books. It's better as a bunch of short stories.. the long form plot isn't nearly as good, but the exploration of good and evil in the short stories is extremely interesting.
2) As a big comic book guy, I'm pretty happy overall with Marvel's content, but it's not for everyone. Hawkeye is the one anyone can watch and enjoy without being investing in the MCU.
3) LOVED the Mandalorian, I can't wait until they realize the messed up and scrap the movies and just move forward from there.
4)I don't think anyone has mentioned this one yet, but 'Raised By Wolves' on HBO Max is interesting.. the premise is two Androids are sent to space to escape an Earth embroiled in religious holocaust to start a new society free of religion... they attempt to raise a group of children. Later, the victors of the war appear. The 2nd half turns into a hot mess, but there's some good stuff in the beginning.
5)Didn't watch Cowboy Bebop or Locke and Key, both seemed like poor imitations and blatant cash grabs. Go watch the anime and read the comics ;)
6) The Boys isn't meant to be Grimdark exactly, it's a satire on the genre. You CAN watch it that way, but that's not the point.. I think you have to be decently knowledgeable about comic book tropes to really get it.
7) Wheel of Time can't possible be a good show, IMO.. it took like 4 books for it to get going. You can take the character names and the basic plot I suppose, but it's just going to aggravate fans. (Much like Game of Thrones did)
8) Most recently, I started watching Lost in Space. The science it completely illogical, but it's not a bad show if you watch it more as a family drama that happens to be in space and not as sci fi.

Didn't mention it because I watched in 2020. The second season is right around the corner though (mid-February I think) and I will be tuning in. To be honest I was hoping for more from it, the pilot was strong but the story kind of fizzled out and fell back on some pretty boring tropes. Though the finale had an intriiiiiguing twist, so I'm curious where it goes.

Wow. I'm using Kalin's post as a list of what shows to watch next :PI watched The Good Place and really enjoyed (halfway through Season 4 atm). It manages to keep the premise fresh, and despite some 'silly' humour it has a lot of depth.
Was very surprised to see that the series won FOUR Hugos. I had no idea!
SeveranceSome people - employees - voluntarily undergo a procedure that severs their work life and memories from their personal life and memories. Intrigue regarding what the corporation is really up to. Possibly some allegory on office life and rituals and personas that we take on.
Philip K. Dick much?!
Only two episodes out so far; seems pretty good.
