I just lobbed the biggest snowball yet. :-D
I just launched a crazy amount of snowballs. Most were light and speedy so watch out for any strays that go crazy.
I've got a few to launch too... must go figure out what to cook for dinner first!

No probs! Was The Doors of Eden any good? I have that one waiting in the wings as a possible Uno book!
I gave it all the stars. Still not Children of Time good, but very close. A good yarn.
I agree re Doors of Eden (though would give it 4*)I would say that his shifter fantasy trilogy (starts with The Wolf and the Tiger) is distinctly less good
Yeah, my rating system is very haphazard. I depend a lot on what I am in the mood for at the time of reading. I was in the mood for this one. A reread may reduce the stars, but for now...

I generally don't bother with anything outside a 1 or 5* rating, as the ratings for books between the poles will be very much more dependent on things like how well it fits to my mood or how good an example of the type of book it is. but 1 and 5s I can generally pontificate at length about, and are likely to be much less subjectively good/bad.
Thanks, looking forward to it!I find I'm quite harsh a lot of the time with ratings, and I certainly give out 5 stars a lot less easily than I did when I first joined GR. But as I rate/review primarily to remind myself how I felt about a particular book, it works for me.
I mean, I rounded the gloriousness of steampunk zombies down from 4.5 to 4 stars, because I didn't think it really deserved the full 5, despite the fact that steampunk zombies were precisely what was missing from my life! :D
Just tossed my last few snowballs. My rating tends to be all over the place but the books that I read this weekend were not that good. I'm glad that I finished them for some challenges because I'm looking forward to reading some better things. Thank goodness Uno lets me read almost anything I want and I can go back to my quick fast reads with a few odd books tossed in. 3 is probably my most used rating.
Oops, almost forgot to add this one. I've been setting up a new house, and you all know how that exhausting that is.
