I finished The Jane Austen Society which was a fun, feel good read. I am on covid quarantine, so have been laying around reading more. May increase my goal...
Updated msg 14Under the Whispering Door by T. J. Klune. Brilliant and charming, exactly what I’ve come to expect from this author! But there’s always an exploration of the goodness in the world, if we choose to see it, and this book does not disappoint. There were hilarious moments and ones that had me tearing up. Loved the characters and diversity! Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

Updated msg 14Just completed Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed. Well-written middle grade! Doesn’t shy away from a hard subject matter but also includes the joy in life as well. Loved the characters and the descriptions of Pakistan. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Brief thoughts on what i've read so far -Persuasion - love jane austen, so i thoroughly enjoyed this book too! I think its fairly underrated in her collection of novels. HEAVILY character driven, but very enjoyable. Beautifully written.
Dear Enemy - such a fun read, devoured it all in one sitting, just a fun romance!!
The Diviners - an amazing setting, charismatic and witty cast of characters, super dark and mysterious!! Kept me on my toes the entire time, will definitely be continuing with the series

Update for message #1261/3 books finished for the month of January!
Book #1 Klara and the Sun - Kazuo Ishiguro
Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
I really enjoyed it. It is very slow paced and there are lots of descriptions, part of it I guess because the story is told by Klara, a very curious Artificial Friend that doesn’t miss a thing around her. Little book talking about life, love and hope. Very cute!
Updated msg 14Just completed These Deadly Games by Diana Urban. I was not expecting this ya thriller that started with video games to turn into a complex, twisty and dark suspense ride! Loved every minute! Really enjoyed the characters and the questions raised about guilt, accident, fault, trauma, and revenge. I received this book as a free giveaway in e change for my honest review. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
