Once you get them on they hurt, but then you get used to them

Eh you really do get used to it, but it takes a couple of weeks. I've had braces ever since 3rd grade, but now i'm in the tenth grade

Hard foods — nuts, hard candies
Foods that require biting into — corn on the cob, apples, carrots
