To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

I just saw that 1st and 2nd volumes are in a series and 3rd came out.

The theme is the city, all stories happen in the same city.

Having a common theme -- or city, except possibly a small and invented one -- is not enough to be a series on Goodreads.
