x| Kiko Iman. 22 years old.![]()

x| likes: reading old books, rain, animals and vegetables.
x| dislikes: meat, a mess and laziness.
x| history: her father brought her to the usa for a better life. her mother had dead when she was only two, so the only thing she had to go off on was her father's words of the woman that gave birth to her. her father was a hard working man which made her hard working as well. when he dead when she turned eighteen she started working harder than ever to keep herself above water. while still going to college to become a nurse.

Ezekiel considered this the first bit of good luck he'd had in a while. To be perfectly honest the last two months had been nothing short of shitty. He'd lost his apartment, most of his money, and had gotten into a small altercation with one of his so-called buddies. The fight was over a deal of some sort that had gone wrong and caused a fight to break out while they happened to be at a club. Okay, so the altercation had required the police to be called but still.
If it hadn't been for Ezekiel's best friend, Lucy, he would have been fucked. He'd asked to crash with her when he got the eviction notice from the landlord but she had a boyfriend, who didn't want the likes of Ezekiel around. It didn't help matters that during an alcoholic binge, the pair had slept together. But Lucy wasn't going to let her friend be homeless and had told him about her friend Kiko, who was looking for a roommate. All Ezekiel needed to know was that the rent was decent to agree.
Ezekiel knocked on the door with his duffle bag laid beside him and a medium-sized box. He'd brought everything he owned with him but he didn't need a lot. There was only so much he could carry that was important to him. He sighed, wondering just how long he would have to wait before his new roommate answered as if he wasn’t the one that was late.

"No, he is not here yet," Kiko said in Japanese, which she only did when she was pissed off. She had been waiting for hours for this new roommate to come. She was now late for her classes. Kiko already didn't want a roommate, she thought the whole roommate idea was stupid and for the weak. Her father didn't need help why should she. But her best and only friend Lucy told her that having a roommate would help with her situation. Kiko agreed to the whole idea and a few weeks later Lucy told her about this guy friend of hers that needed a place to stay. "He better be here soon Lu or I swear I am not going to be nice." Kiko continued in Japanese. She heard someone knock on the door, she got up and sighed as she walked to the door. "It better be." she said as she opened the door. Kiko glanced at the man that stood in front of her holding a box and a bag, she looked him up and down before she shrugged her shoulders. "I guess." she said to Lu on the phone. He fit the description that Lu gave her. "Yeah, I will call you later." she stated as she walked away from the door leaving it open for Ezekiel.
She looked back as she hang up with Lucy. "Your room is the last door on the left, and the bathroom is the door right across from it." she said in English. Has she pointed down the hall, she also grabbed her bookbag from the couch. "There is food in the fridge. I will be back in.." she paused as she looked at her apple watch, checking the time. "two hours." she finished, she grabbed her keys and the keys she had made for him. "This one is for the door and this one is for the mailbox." she said showing him each key before she placed it on top of the box that he was holding. "Bye." she waved before she walked past him and closed the door behind herself. In the back of her head she was a little nervous about leaving a stranger at her place but she trusted Lu. She knew her since she was young. Kiko walked to her college campus which was right across the street. She knew that her teacher was going to ask why she was late and she honestly still didn't know what excuse she was going to make.

Zeke waited at the door, trying to imagine what her roommate on the other side of the door was like. Lucy had told him that she was a female, the age of 22, spoke Japanese so she too was an immigrant, and was still taking a class. Appearance-wise, he still didn’t know how she looked, but he would find that out now.
Just when he was debating on just going his phone while he waited, the door opened to reveal his new roommate. His eyes lazily looked over her, taking in her appearance and the phone that was held against her ear. She seemed annoyed, that much was obvious. Was it because he was late? It didn’t matter. He just held tighter into the box and picked up the duffel bag to follow her in, excepting some sort of welcome. But he was wrong. Instead, she just walked in. And to think she looked cute, he thought as he walked in after her, kicking the door shut. She was already explaining to him where everything is, barely batting an eye at him. He wasn’t sure how that made him feel. Normally he got better reactions from other girls.
Eventually, she was done with what she was saying and just set the keys on the box before leaving. That was it. She didn’t even give him a chance to say anything. But it didn’t matter. He didn’t have anything to say. He didn’t care at the moment. As long as he could switch out of his black joggers and white shirt and take a nice warm shower, he didn’t care what she did or when she left. He just sighed to himself. She seemed annoying. He would just ignore her for the time being. Right now he just went to his room and to unpack.

When Kiko got to class her science professor noticed how upset she seemed. He wanted to ask her what was wrong the moment he saw her but he was in the middle of class. He decided that he would ask her after class, Kiko was slightly the whole time, even when the professor asked for the answer to a question that Kiko loved to answer but today she just stayed quiet and wrote her notes. An hour later the lesson was over, everyone was walking out of the room. Kiko held her bookstore her small figure as she walked past the professor. “Kiko.. Are you okay?” he asked. Kiko stopped and glanced over at the older man. He was always sweet to her, at first she thought he was sweet to all his students but soon was proven wrong. It became clear that he had a crush on her and she further kept her distance from him. Even though she loved his class.
“I am fine, just tired and I have had a long day.” she answered and before the older man could come up with another question Kiko walked out. And she headed to her next class, which was psychology. Her favorite class by far. Once it was over she headed back to her apartment, she had completely forgotten about Ezekiel. She opened the front door and knocked it door, she throw her bookbag onto the couch before she turned around and locked the door.

After being left alone, Zeke took his stuff to his room and unpacked some of his stuff. He didn’t bother to organize them yet, just make a pile on the floor for some stuff and put some stuff on his bed for now. He then wasted a few minutes on his phone, scrolling through his messages that were mostly with girls and checking his social media feed. His stomach growled, reminding him that he hadn’t had anything to eat this morning. He remembered her saying there was food in the fridge, so he happily got up to go eat something. What the hell is this? His eyes looked over the food choices, nothing looking appealing. But he still took out some stuff, making a makeshift meal for him, and not bothering to put the stuff back or clean after him. Instead, he just went to the bathroom to take a long warm shower. It wasn’t until she came back gone that he finally finished. He walked out of the shower, a towel wrapped low on his hips and another in his hands, drying his hair. He heard the door open and walked farther away from the bathroom and into the living room to find her closing the door. “You weren’t joking when you said two hours,” Ezekiel spoke from behind her, setting the extra towel around his neck and glancing at the clock. Did she not bother stopping anywhere else? “What’s the fun in that.” He looked back to her, standing in the middle of the room half naked with all his tattoos exposed and body still wet.

Kiko heard his voice and she sighed softly to herself. She wasn't used to anyone being home when she got home. She opened her mouth to speak as she turned around. But when her eyes landed on him, she couldn't find the words. "I-I why are you naked in my living room." she finally finished the sentence once she covered her eyes with her hand. Her eyes met with the floor as she walked farther into her apartment. She made it to her kitchen counter without looking at Ezekiel, she finally brought her eyes up as she placed her keys on the counter. And that when she saw the mess he had made. "WAIT! Are you serious?" she liked everything being clean. It didn't have to be spotless but, this wasn't even average. "Who raised you?.. You know I don't even care. Clean this up now." she stated in Japanese, as she turned around and looked at him, she pointed to the kitchen. She didn't even care that he had nothing but a towel on now.

Zeke narrowed his brows at her reaction to seeing him in only a towel. “Naked? You call this naked?” He scoffed, brushing back his wet hair from his eyes. “And you mean our living room?” He corrects her. He rolls his eyes at her when she covers hers. She was being dramatic now. Did she never see a man's chest before? He was ready to head back to his room and so he turned around, but then she spoke again, this time much louder. He turned around to look at her, watching her freak out about the mess he made. Come to think of it, he had forgotten all about it. He was so used to someone cleaning up after him at his old place, having to have maids come with the place, that he wasn’t used to cleaning after himself. But it wasn’t that serious for her to freak out and change languages. If anything, she reminded him of his mother constantly nagging at him back in his home country. “Chill out. I’ll do it.” He tells her. He just wanted her off his back. “You don’t have to cry about it,” he tells her bluntly, not caring about how much of an ass he seemed to like. He didn’t care if it bother her too. Who was she to change how he acted.

“Did you seriously tell me to chill out?.. You have only been here for two hours, and you're already showing me why it was so hard for you to find a place.. Who makes a mess and doesn't clean it.” Kiko continued in Japanese. She wasn't crying or making too much out of the situation. He just got here and was already being lazy. “Instead of you trying to be a donkey about a mess you made, how about you clean it.” she added as she crossed her arms and stared at Ezekiel. He hadn't even moved in the direction as if he was going to clean. Lucy told her that he came from a rich family which explained his behavior but if he hadn't noticed Kiko was going to be the one to tell him that he wasn't in no ten-bedroom house with maids to clean up behind him.

“Why I couldn’t find a place is none of your business,” Zeke tells her when she decided to get mouthy. “But it didn’t have to do with cleaning,” he added to clarify. He wondered how much Lucy told her about him. He would have to ask her later and give her an earful about spilling so much about him. This bitch is annoying, he thought to himself as she went on. Did she not know how to shut up. His head was starting to hurt from her. “I’ll do them later. After all, as you said, I’m naked.” He reminds her and turns around to go get dressed. Would he do them later, if he remembered. He just wanted to get away from her, maybe even take a nap while he was at it. That way he wouldn’t have to see her till later.

Later? Kiko sighed and rolled her eyes. Yeah right it didn't have anything to do with him not cleaning.. Just as much as it didn't have anything to do with being an ungrateful little rich boy. But Kiko wasn't about to keep arguing with someone that was supposed to be older than her. “You know what, forget it” she said under her breath in English. She ain't see no point fighting with someone like him. Once Ezekiel was in his room, Kiko decided to do clean the mess herself. She wasn't his mother and she wasn't about to do something his mother should have done a long time ago.
It didn't take long soon, Kiko took a shower and was now in her room. She sat in front of her mirror and brushed her hair has she was humming a song that her father use to sing to her. She made sure to close her bedroom door beside she changed into her pjs. She had to work both of her jobs the next day. For that reason, Kiko quickly got into bed and since she was so tired she quickly went to sleep.
Her alarm woke her up the next morning at 6:30. It was early for others but her It gave her enough time to get dressed and have some breakfast. Once she turned the alarm off she stretched in the bed and then finally got out of the bed, she made her bed quickly before she went into the kitchen and threw some bangles into the oven. Then she went to the bathroom and jumped into the shower. And once she was off and was dry, she smelled something as she wrapped her towel around her body. When she opened the bathroom for she smelled burning. “Damn it.” she said under her breath. She had forgotten about her breakfast, she rushed into the kitchen and opened the oven. The smoke started to fill the whole apartment.

Ezekiel didn’t stay true to his words about cleaning up after him. But that was mostly because she had taken care of the mess herself. It wasn’t until later in the night that he got up from his nap. He didn’t immediately go out into the kitchen to clean up, but to get him a drink. That’s when he noticed that everything was clean. “Hmm,” he huffed. She was impatient. At least he didn’t have to do it anymore.
Instead of going back to sleep or staying in, Zeke decided to go out to have some fun. So he dressed nicely and headed out to hang out with some friends. It wasn’t until late in the night that he returned, fumbling with his key to open the door. He made his way to his room and just crashed into his bed, falling asleep immediately.
When the sun came up, and the smoke-filled his room, Ezekiel groaned in annoyance. He was too tired and hungover to be bothered at a time like this, so he tried to ignore it. But the smell just got stronger and stronger. “What the fuck.” He groaned and rolled onto his side, the bright sunlight hurting his head. He slowly stood up, the clothes from what he wore to the club wrinkled from sleeping, and walked out of the room to see what was going down. As he entered the kitchen, the smoke got stronger and caught him off guard, causing him to start coughing. That’s when Kiko came running out of the bathroom in just a towel, racing to the oven to pull out a charred piece of bagel. “What the hell is going on here?” He asked, angry to have woken up.

Kiko hadn’t even noticed Ezekiel she was too focused on making sure her apartment didn’t burn to the ground. “Damn it,” she said as she put the pan and dropped it into the oven, she turned on the water and sighed. That’s when she heard Ezekiel, she rolled her eyes at the sight of him. He had been drinking that much was clear. “What do you think?” Kiko thought it was a stupid question to ask, she thought it was obvious that she had burnt something. She can tell he was mad but she didn't care. She could tell he was the type to not know his limit and would go overboard every single time. “I got it so don't worry your precious little head about it,” she said as she turned the water off and grabbed hold of her towel so it wouldn't fall, and walked past Ezekiel.
Kiko kicked her door closed and sighed. Maybe this whole roommate thing wasn't a good idea. She wasn't used to people and this dude wasn't making any type of situation better. She started slowly getting herself dressed for herself for her first job.
