It's only because I also read "Ready Player Two" last year that this wasn't my least-favorite book of the year last year. The author reminded me in the worst ways that I hadn't really liked Mockingjay all that much either. Usually there's a good reason you don't put out a new book for an entire decade, and the reason here is that you don't have a good story to tell. The point where Lucy Gray leaves Snow is vague and really poorly written. Hard to build up to a moment and have it fizzle out.

Aside than that, it was meh. I'm just upset since my favorite character died. Like, bruh, you had to kill Sejunas because I knew he was foolish, but I loved him. Anyway, I wish it was more focused on the lab part of the games rather than following the Hunger Games. I also don't like the concept of Snow being terrified of a song from a women who sings... you're telling me he has ptsd from a girl who sings.... I realize it's a Rebellion song, but it could've been portrayed in any manner, and we get it from Lucy Grey... mmm
