Jet is head over heels for Eddie but fails to see the attraction is mutual and gives off vibes that’s she’s not interested because a man like him couldn’t fall for someone like her. Why do you think Jet was so hard on herself?

Not enough self confidence. She's so busy doing for others that she doesn't realize what a selfless and giving person she is.

Daddy issues. Daddy left when she was 14 and if someone who was supposed to love her just left, why would anyone else stick around. She has convinced herself that she isn't worthy of a hot, decent guy like Eddie.

Big time Daddy issues! She had every reason to be proud of herself but her father did a lot of damage. She just couldn’t see it…only what she couldn’t do.
