The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra - Vaseem Khan - 4 stars

This is the first in a series about an Indian policeman who retires and realizes he still wants to be a detective. He has a most unusual sidekick, a baby elephant! The story has several threads which come together well in the end. The setting in India is very descriptive. There area also some side characters, such as Chopra's wife Poppy and some of his police colleagues, who I hope will return in later books. This was a fast and enjoyable read.
