Karin | 9210 comments If only I'd read the first edition of this before my one time doing a November NaNoWriMo (yes, I wrote 50K words), since it was before this edition, I wouldn't have destroyed the abysmal book I wrote--here I learned that it's supposed to be bad and what to do about it. Also, since then people like Marissa Meyer have started best sellers this way (but of course these are very few as compared with the vast number of people who do this), including Cinder and all the other books in that series written by the time this book was published.

In any event, this is not a book on how to actually write a novel, but on how to get 50,000 words done in one month, what to expect each week, and various and sundry other things. If I ever do another NaNoWriMo, I'll be prepared.

Who this books is for--anyone who wants to do that writing challenge.
