Inkheart question

Hello all!

I have Inkheart listed because the discussion requires a title and it is similar to the plot of the novel in question, but they are not the same.

There was novel I read a long time ago about a teen/young adult author who is on a mini-book tour with her father gets sucked into her own novel. While in the novel, she meets her main male character and they fall in love (she already loved him) as they work through the book. The male character is oblivious to being in a novel, let alone that the girl he is traveling with is the author. He discovers and is heartbroken when she sings a song at a gathering with many people about his life and he realizes she knows too much about him. I don't remember much after this aside from the end where the author and main male reconcile. The male character is turned into a tree for like 100 years and the author is expelled from the book. There is something to do about witches throughout the novel I believe (for example a witch is waiting for the author outside the novel), but it's hazy.

Any help would be amazing! It was a good book, if I remember correctly. Thank you!
