Ghaniyyu Having a son and daughter sometimes complicated, because every child in the world have their own speciality, even tough I wasn't parent yet but I understand that every parent have their own way to raise their child.
Ironically sometimes parent who have more than 1 children realize or not they make one of their childs as their "favorite". That's what sophie's feel in this books, sophie's parents feels like favoriting sophie's sister and sophie's brother. They see sophie as a "different" child just because shopie has her own imaginary world, it's kinda sad because her imaginary world is the reason she's happy. Even sophie's parent bring sophie's into psycholog, it's really sad for me seeing that part even though her parents do that for sake of sophie's self.

Prins Gunawan actually being Sophie and her parents is the same difficult thing, but I believe that what parents do for their children is the best for their future. On the other side, Sophie's parents didn't stop her from daydreaming but they just wanted Sophie to know when it's time to study and daydream. They finally found a solution after meeting a counselor, Dr. Peter. I was relieved when I saw the result of the change in Sophie.

Rika Rahmawati Sometimes as children we cannot fulfill our parents' expectations of us, and so do our parents. Lucky for her, Sophie's mom understood Sophie. And when you feel sad when Sophie bring to a psycholog by her parents, I thought it would be more pathetic when Sophie's parents let Sophie. And it will affect Sophie very much in the future.

Amri Ferdian Being shopie in real condition would be very difficult to do it in everyday and everytime. But being sophie's parents also difficult too. Because sometimes parents want from us to be good people and have a good grades in school too, but in this novel finally sophie's parents know shopie and bring her girl to dr peter to help sophie's parents solve this problem.

AINUN CHUMAIROH I think what Sophie's parents did was right, even though it hurt Sophie more or less by their decision to take her to a psychologist. Sometimes parents are also unable to accommodate their children's wishes, or even reject them on the basis that what their children do is not good in their own opinion.

message 6: by Azzahra (new)

Azzahra Arifani Sophie’s parents were wrong because they forced Sophie to be what they wanted and always compared her with Lacie. They don’t like it if Sophie continuously daydreams and gets a bad score in some courses. But, I agree with Sophie’s parent's decision that bring Sophie to the psychiatrist. Because after Sophie tells her struggle to the psychiatrist, her parents know that all children have different abilities and they won’t do that to Sophie again.
