Entire series, books and author disappeared overnight?

I noticed that my total 'books read' for the year goal count dropped by 10 overnight, and when I investigated I realized that an entire series, the author, and all the related books seemingly disappeared from Goodreads overnight.

I had a search, and none of the other books of a similar format were removed. Is this a new policy change from GR I wasn't aware of? (then, e.g. Wildbow's works, Pirateaba's works, etc would need to be removed as well).

I added the very first book and established the author and series pages again, seeing if I could find a history or something, but I haven't found anything. To Leap and Love the Fall. If anyone knows how I can find out anything about a book / series / author that was removed from the database, I'd appreciate any information.

I'm considering adding all 10 books again manually, but perhaps they can all be reinstated instead?

Looks like Archive of Our Own is fanfiction.

Fanfiction is fine on GR, unless the author requests it be removed.

I don't have any insight into what's happened, but that would be my guess.

Without commenting on this specific case (about which I have no information), please note the following:

If a work has been deleted from Goodreads, there is no way to "reinstate" it.

If all the works of a given fanfic author are removed at once, it most often means that they have requested their fanfic be removed from Goodreads. Since Goodreads policy is that fanfic will be removed (by Goodreads staff, not by Librarians!) if and when its author so requests, and fanfic authors who make that request often do so again if the works are re-added, it is generally inadvisable to re-add fanfic that has been removed from Goodreads.
