SOLVED - Older HP, towards the end of the book the heroine leaves to have her child/children at a private clinic.

It is an oldie HP. I keep thinking it might be by Carole Mortimer, but I have not been able to find it yet.

IIRC hero is afraid to have children so he says he doesn't want them.
At the end of the book the heroine leaves him to have the child/children at some private clinic. I think she had twins and hero is stunned, but ecstatic when she comes back. After "I Iove yous" she takes him to another room and surprises him with the twins. He is remorseful that he was not able to be there for her during her pregnancy.

I hope someone remembers this book.
