No wonder you rallied for carryover points ;)

I still need to fiddle with some Graphic Novel columns for spreadsheet requests... then I'm done, until the time comes to re-add Angela and Miche and probably Julian...

This one (#4) gets me every time... the third book had a solid start, but like everyone said, there's not much that needs discussing, after they reach Candyland around the middle...

With this one (view spoiler)

people used to make up tons of them... and I find them all ridiculous/hilarious... it's such an easy format to invent for... and not wrong... I watched tons of House Hunters on work breaks, over the past decade... these days, not so much...

RachelG. | 1304 comments I may not have steady internet access for a few days so I am going to try and finish this book today. I am really enjoying the story so far.

This one hit me harder, emotionally, on this readthrough, than any previous one... not sure why, but those last 2 chapters were rough... we knew it had to happen, tho... we read the first book :(

it's all Niki's fault... I think we should be ready for #7 in a few weeks... we've done one every other week or so, I think... #5 is next... or it will be, once Niki reads #4... I think only me and Rachel and Emily read #4

I thought it came out on the 21st lol. Whoops.

I loved the fourth one. I keep meaning to comment. Everytime I get on GR I start doing admin stuff.

Should we set a date for the 5th one? I have it already.

Thanks Soo! I was wanting to know more about these 3 friends.

RachelG. | 1304 comments Has anyone read Over the Woodward Wall? I didn't realize it was written by Seanan McGuire and it sounds like it is similar to the Wayward Children series but for a younger audience.

Isn't that the fictional book series from Middlegame?... I'd heard there were plans to publish it... there are rhymes and things in the books that hide the secrets of magic, related to the Middlegame series...

If I remember correctly, Middlegame plays on the idea of shared consciousness shaping reality?... so Wizard of Oz and stuff were written to hold reality together, after Dr. Frankenstein type mad scientists almost destroyed the world in the late 1800s?... if you haven't read it, you should...

Middlegame came out a few years ago... there's a sequel planned for the distant future... in the meantime, there's a loosely connected side book coming out this summer: Seasonal Fears

Middlegame has a pretty complicated timeline... for timey-wimey reasons that aren't fully explained until almost the end of the book...

Soo (silverlyn) | 6898 comments Hm, Over the Woodward Wall is on KU. I'll have to check that out. I thought Middlegame was good but underdeveloped.

Ima set book 5 for Thursday just to get it on the calendar. Please let me know if any needs adjustment. :)

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Fine for me Niki!

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Starting a little early for this one :)

I find myself wondering as I start to read this.. The prologue mentions the parents of these wayward children, and I remember most of these kids do have parents or families. But what about the kids that don’t? Are they more likely not to come back because they don’t have anything tying them to the world where they were born?

Part 1
(view spoiler)

RachelG. | 1304 comments I have only read the first 3 chapters of Come Tumbling Down and it was hard to go to work rather than continue this morning. I can't wait to see what happens!

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Also, I don't know where I was or what I was doing when I read this the first time, but I really do not remember what happened in this one, so it's almost like reading it for the first time hahah
