Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2165 comments What book about the Tudors or Tudor England would you like to have as our Group Read in November 2021?

If it's in a series, can it be easily read as a stand-alone? If not, you might want to nominate the first book in the series, or the most recent book in it the group has not read together.

Can't remember what we've already read as a group? (Sometimes I can't, either.) There's a "group-reads" shelf on the group's Bookshelf.

Two nominations to a person, please.

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 163 comments @Susanna: I just looked at the book shelf, and it shows that we read The Other Queen (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #15) by Philippa Gregory in 2010. Should I change my second nomination?

message 4: by William (new)

William Whalen | 68 comments I nominate The Queen's Conjuror The Science and Magic of Dr. John Dee by Benjamin Woolley by Benjamin Woolley and The Tournament by Matthew Reilly by Matthew Reilly.

Christine Hartweg | 48 comments I'd like to nominate John Dudley The Life of Lady Jane Grey's Father-in-Law by Christine Hartweg and Henry VIII by David Loades

message 8: by Joe (new)

Joe I'll put last month's runner-up, The Eyes of the Queen, back in the mix.

message 9: by Antonietta (new)

Antonietta | 33 comments I'd to nominate " The Secret of Saffron Hall" by Clare Marchant and " Interview with the Ghost of Henry VIII" by John Townsend.
The last one it is not very serious but I think it would be funny.

message 10: by Sophie (new)

Sophie Buxton | 2 comments I nominate the Constant Princess by a Phillipa Gregory

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2165 comments Sophie - we read The Constant Princess in March 2019. (That thread is still open.)

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2165 comments We have a solid number of nominations, so I'm going to close things up.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2165 comments The poll is now open. You'll find it at the top of the group's Polls page, the bottom of its Home page, or here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/2... .
