For May/June, can I nominate the following reads (not sure how to separate them for each month, June seems to be relatively open spot-wise, May... maybe one? Any guidance would be much appreciated!)

1) The 3-book series Welcome To Night Vale by Joseph Fink, starting with the homonymous first book Welcome to Night Vale.
Urban Fantasy comedy-horror - imagine if Stephen King wrote the X Files, and then Tim Burton directed it into a comedy film starring Tina Fey.

2) The 5-book series Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn, starting with the book Across the Nightingale Floor.
Historical fiction set in a parallel/similar feudal Japan, raw, brutal, beautiful and if you like that setting, dreamy.

3) I, Robot by Isaac Asimov.
A Sci-Fi classic, with a topic that may start to feel eerily relevant in the coming decades.

4) Wonder by R.J. Palacio.
Heart-breaking young adult realistic fiction, reminder of how cruel kids can be, and strongly on the side of "kill them with kindness".

5) The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
Historical fiction set in 60's Mississippi, telling the story of 3 women, filled with poignancy, humor, and hope.

I did a little rearranging of my 2022 reading plan and will be starting Empress in April. It's quite a large book so I'd be happy to stretch across April/May.

Would anyone like to join me? I also plan on reading the next 2 but unsure currently of when.

Saha, I have added you to the upcoming reads and added your suggestions. There is no limit to how many buddy reads there can be in a certain month, splitting them between May and June is just a preference of when YOU and your buddies want to read them.

For now, I have added Welcome to Night Vale as a suggestion for May, with all the others in June with a note stating you'd be open to reading them in May. Let us know here if you'd like anything changed.
