Looking forward to this, I read The Island of Dr. Moreau last year and thought that was an incredible book for its time.
Looking forward to this too. Have just realised that my copy contains The Invisible Man as well as The Time Machine so will be reading both this month.
Read this in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed. I will drift off to sleep dreaming of The Time Traveller's future. I hope I don't have nightmares!
I read this a while ago, not going to re-read it though. I did enjoy it. One thing I love about H G Wells is how many of his ideas/inventions are around today, and once the government admits to having a time machine we are all gonna go "Damn! That H G Wells was a freaking genius"
Think I might start this one today. I actually know nothing about it, other than what the title suggests!
Finished this yesterday, liked but not loved it. My edition has The Invisible Man in it, I'm reading that now and finding it more engaging.
I can't believe I I haven't read this and look forward to it, probably end of the week or beginning of next.
It's easy to see why H.G. Wells is said to be the 'founding father of science fiction' by this extremely imaginative story. With such extraordinarily detailed descriptions of a grim future, it is almost a strange feeling to know that it is truly fiction...
Lol, yes you only see me on here over the holidays. I was trying to read a book a week but am two behind already!
I am about a third of the way in, dying to carry on, but not much reading time in the last few days!
