That makes sense, Bella! I agree she integrated history into the story really well..made look into more witchy books hahaha.Great to know that both of you liked it, definitely putting it higher on my priority list!
About the series, were we talking about Finlay Donovan? I believe book 2 is coming out soon? Granted, it's not a long series at the moment and I do have loads of other series I want to start, most are fantasy or mystery/thriller.
Ok my library has that one so I’m gonna look into it toooo. Did everyone still want to read the fire keepers daughter or a series/mystery etc. I’m up for anything. Or both. Lol

ughh i love the book so far!!! my hold lapsed and it was returned back to the library and i left off at a cliffhanger. i was able to borrow it again today so I'm going to continue reading it tomorrow!

I'm all good with reading Finlay first. Are you close to finishing Bella? I'm almost at 80%, hopefully will read some more tonight. I'm generally enjoying the book, it does feel maybe it's dragging a bit for me...

So I finished it last night!I think because I took much break in between the chapters, that I felt I didnt really get into the story as much as I wanted to. Plus starting I was excited.
But I felt it dragged too much, that towards the end I was like why am I not finishing it sooner!
What about u guys?
And which book have u guys decided on next?
I agree that it dragged a bit too much in the middle, it took me longer to finish it than I thought too. I enjoyed quite a few things about it, just it would have been better shorter I think haha

I agree with you guys it would have def been better if it was shorter. By the end of the book I was just trying to finish it I wasn’t even interested in what happened to any of the characters by the end of it. Anyways, I have both books in my possession so it’s whatever everyone else wants to do!!!!

Yeah the Goodreads choice awards are on! I have hardly read of the nominated ones this year! I'm planning to make a list of some of them n pick them up this weekend.
I got an email I think about the Choice Awards but haven't looked yet.To be honest, I'm not much of a seasonal reader, so I don't really read Xmas books as such. I do want to read A Christmas Carol this year as I got a beautiful edition of it and I actually have never read it even if I watched a million adaptations lol

A Christmas carol would be good I haven’t READ that in years! And when I was going through the list there were so many books I hadn’t even heard of so I took screenshots (I was being lazy!!) lol
Haha I was bored so I made a list of around 15-20 books that I would look out for.I haven't read any which are nominated in Romance Category!
So I got People we meet on vacation from the library... Planning to start that and also I got a graphic novel too... In Love & Pajamas.

No I haven't read it yet. I might start it next month.Firekeeper's Daughter and the Ex Hex... the two books we have planned are on it! So I'm excited for us!
I looked up the Awards as well and there are quite a few I want to read. Really liked Beach Read by her, so want to read People we meet as well.
Have read Malibu Rising a couple of months ago, it was good, but I would say my third favourite after The 7 husbands and Daisy Jones.

&BELLA! Omg! You know what? That doesn’t surprise me at all in the least because she did a really great job tying the history into the story and really makes you want to learn everything on the subject of the Salem witch trials etc. at-least, with me she did!! :)
I’m pretty sure I’ve already asked but I’m gonna throw it back out there but does anyone have any SERIES of books they want to read all together or that we can look into and pick something we all wanna read?
