Briana, vampires have historically been a staple in horror over the past century or so. There also seemed to be a pause after the Twilight craze ran its course. Do you think we’re on the cusp of seeing a rebirth in the sub genre? Can you give us a little more info on what inspired you to create this story?

message 14: by M (new) - rated it 5 stars

M | 53 comments I love vamps and I already own this one and was planning to read it! I didn’t get to participate in the group read last month but def will this month!

Netanella | 575 comments I started this last night and I am enjoying it thus far.

Any book that begins with (view spoiler) generally has more great things in store!

I made it into the haunted house and got out with just a scratch on Callie. I'm thinking it was a close call. More tonight.

Hee hee hee! I love cheesy puns!

Netanella | 575 comments M, I envy your uninterrupted time to read a book in one sitting!

I can't wait for Thanksgiving break here so i can put my feet up, grab a hot chocolate and my doggie, and just read!

Netanella | 575 comments I finished the story last night. I thought it was fun, campy goodness, and it brought back good memories of when I was a geeky kid in the '80s with a bedroom covered in posters of singers and movies. Awesome good stuff.

I hope everyone enjoys this selection, as I did. A definite blast from the past.

THE LOST BOYS was the first vampire film with bite (pun intended) I ever watched, and I wanted to pay homage to it. I also wished for more queer representation in vampire media, so I wrote some myself. I think a lot of writers and readers who either bought into the Twilight craze or avoided it are coming back around, and there's the allure of nostalgia to thank for the vampire resurgence. I love vampire media and I especially love seeing how different authors play with the lore and mythology.

M | 53 comments You’d think there’s be more queer vamp rep but there’s not and it’s weird. You did vamps really well in this story!
