Jo Grafford (jografford) | 13 comments Okay...uber newbie question here. I'm trying to set up a giveaway for signed paperback copies of my newest release. I entered it into the Goodreads database with the ASIN (as opposed to the ISBN). However, on the giveaway screen, it's saying this is not a valid book ID, that it cannot be found in the Goodreads database. Is there a unique book ID assigned by Goodreads that I can type in this field instead?

Thanks so much for any guidance. :)

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments GR only supports give aways of physical books not ebooks/Kindle editions.

You will need to contact GR Support if you have a paper version that does not have an ISBN

Librarians have no control over giveaways

Jo Grafford (jografford) | 13 comments Makes sense. I do have an ISBN, and I'm giving away signed paperbacks. I guess I need to upload the paperback version as a second version? Knew there was something I was missing...

Thank you.
Jo

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Yes, add your paperback with the ISBN then you should be able to run the give away, just make sure that you put the ISBN13 in the ISBN13 field not the ISBN10 field as then that will cause problems as it will truncate to 10 digits rather than 13
