I had thought about adding one or two, but in the end didn't. I think it is fine you added one in.

I cleared out duplicates of sheet music .... I keep the copies of old songs we have done in my church choir. I was able to open up two more shelves for books!! Not sure where I will find the room next.
I have the unread books stacked all around the house. I donate most of them when they are read, but if I get one that I really must keep, I find a spot to squeeze it in on the bookshelves. When we moved I went from ten bookshelves to two, so I have a constant challenge not to allow them to overflow. I gave up a lot of my hard copies and bought downloads. That made me sad, but in a way, I still own the books.
So all my good shelves are full, so everytime i get new books i have to go through the Shelf Shuffle dance :P .
I moved things from 4 different shelves with my latest purchases and threw 3 books from the family shelf into the recycle bin, to make room to move some of my unwanted personal books there. Trust me giving them away wouldn't have done the world any favours*.
So the question is, where do you put a new load of books when you get them?
* the books i tossed were Practical Intuition, Modern Writing Practise (from the 1960s) and the Horseriders Encyclopedia, brought to you from the same author as How to Ride a Horse. I regret nothing.
