I just read today's chunk and I've gotta say, I love Sophie's family! I feel like I understood the dynamic between everyone really quickly and easily.I DO NOT love Griffin though. That boy is RUDE.
Agree on Sophie's family! I love her chats with her sister. I wonder what is up with the slight schism with the cousins. Griffin is very much a thumbs down. I do feel bad that he doesn't get to have an actual conversation about the relationship beyond what he said to his friend BUT I also don't think he deserves that opportunity either.
This is gonna be a super cute fun read I can tell. Loved her family as well and the texts about the feet are killing me. Wes is intriguing to me. wonder if something might happen there.
The 1st date was really sweet. Her eyes are opening to other things that she knows.
Love that her aunt?? say she never liked Griffin. Even though I think she just said that to say it.
I really love this already! It is light and fun and even though she is going through her first heartbreak, there is positivity shining through. I love Nonna and her idea. I feel like it might actually be useful in some situations.
There is some definite tension between Sophie and the cousins. They keep mentioning that she hasn't been around in a while. Is that the sole reason or was there something specific?
I am glad Sophie's first date was good but I hope at least one is a disaster.

Got to 40%, the second date was spectacular!! The third date was just good fun. The party sounded like so such a good time. Definitely think agree with folks that Wes is one to keep an eye on. Griffin is awful. Now that she is having fun without him, he's interested again?
I really love the family so much!! I hope her sister will be okay.
Totally killing me to stop listening at the start of date 4. I need to hear about this party!
I really feel like Wes is the obvious guy she's gonna end up with. It seems like no one likes his grumpy girlfriend, not even him 😂

Yesterday I saw some msgs about Griffin and I was oh, boy what shit has he done to be a "No" character.. And yes, his way of handling things was not good, but also I though he cheated and was a jerk because of that.. after finding out he just wanted to know how his life would feel without Sophie, and that he was having a talk with his friend about it.. not in the best place but okay.. I'm okay with him.. but that's maybe because I am Griffin on some level 😅

Wow, it looks like the first date was all cool and great, and now it's all down the drain 😅 I finished the Judd date, and that's where I'm stopping.
Yes something is developing more with Wes for sure after the party. Not sure who I like least Lauren (Wes' girlfriend or Griffin. Leaning more towards Lauren. Date #2 was the best. Hundred Hands. LOL!!! And he is a freshman.
This is so cute and fast to read, well I am doing it by audio.
40% Date 2 - My wishes were granted!! I would never have imagined this sort of disaster and I loved it!
Date 3 - Things are heating up with Wes. This Christmas party sounds like fun and I feel like Sophie is allowing herself to open up to new things in her life.
Beginnings of Date 4 - Wow, this sounds like a very scandalous party especially for a 17 year old. Paolo seems like a good pick so far.
Her sister seems like she is very sick.
I love how she is quickly finding her place back within the family.

Griffin making an appearance is *grimace* I know I said that I could be a Griffin... but constantly calling/texting her even when she said she didn't want to talk to him at the time is a no for me, and now especially that he came over.
I like that she's connecting again with her family, especially with Charlie and Olivia.. and Wes 😃
Just stated date 5 - the evil Joes and well wooooow, Hundred Hands may be better than him 😂 And I have the feeling something bad is going to happen.
For context, Shreveport has about 192,000 people in real life. So not really a small town at all! 😂
Date 4 sounded like an amazing experience and it was really nice that it started off so low pressure and friendly.Griffin is also making me mad with his pressure. His gift was awful, just staking a claim.

OK. It's all I could do today to NOT finish the book. This is one heck of a winter break for Sophie. Talk about a roller-coaster....
Oh I DEFINITELY snuck ahead and finished it 😂I'll wait until the official ending date to give my final thoughts, since I don't totally remember what happens in each section. Don't want to spoil anything!

I'm a bit "regretting" that we started it now and not sometime in the second half of December because it's set in that time.. but also it's a great way to start the games.. it's easy and fun.
Finished at lunch. It was such a lovely book to start off the season!

I agree this was a fun and fast read to start! I enjoyed all the dates and how she ended up closer with her family.
