Rage of Angels question

I really enjoyed Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon. Although I have read several of his other books this one is my fav. I'm looking for a similar trope. I loved the character of Michael Moretti. All the mafia don books that I found are newer releases. I prefer older books published decades ago. I just like the writing better.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

Specifically I'd like to read about a woman getting caught up with the mafia or a bad boy type character like Moretti.
