Hi Nora! You can do this however you'd like! It can be as simple as a physical list of book titles, or you can go to your goodreads bookshelves and make a new shelf for the challenge.

If you're using a web browser, you would click "My Books" at the top of the page, and then "Add Shelf".

Click on "add book/author". A box will pop up and at the bottom, you can choose a link or cover when searching for a book.

Carol D | 19 comments I'm more a read what I want kind of girl because I already have a huge stack I've started on. Is there a thread for just checking in with what one's already reading and maybe posting questions or comments on them, sort of a relaxed discussion thread that isn't part of a challenge? If I find a title that's posted in a challenge, I may add it to my tbr, but I'm not much of a contest reader. I'd rather just pick my own and read at my pace.

Totally fair! We love having all kinds of readers here, whether you're deep into challenges or just doing your own thing. 😊

We do have a Bookish Chats folder, where people check in with what they're reading, share thoughts, and chat without the structure of a challenge. It's relaxed, no prompts or deadlines—just bookish conversation at your own pace. Here’s the link if you'd like to check that out: Bookish Chats

Also, even if you're not into the challenge scene, you're always welcome to drop in on any thread if you spot a title that catches your eye or want to see what others thought about a book. No pressure to "compete"—this space is all about enjoying books together, however that looks for you!
