lets set the scene. it’s the night of a huge gala, celebrating the marriage of the beloved king and his new queen. red is 16 years old, disoriented and still trying to figure out where she is.
the king is drunk, age 37, and takes red to the room when the party has mostly died down. the music is loud and the remaining guests are having their fill of alcohol and delicacies.
reds dress is taken off. she doesn’t know what’s going on, but she begins to fight back anyways. her body is too weak to be able to do anything, though.
red is r*ped by the king and forced to bear his child.
“for the kingdom,” he said, kissing her collarbones with a hand on the small of her back, still inside of her so there was no chance that she wouldn’t be impregnated. reds throat is hoarse from screaming for help and pleading for him to stop, so she just nods. the king goes to clean up, and she rabidly searches for a weapon. anything. a small gold pocketknife, within the nightstand. she struggles her dress back on and waits for the king to come back, heart thundering. and that he does, all smiley and excited. for what, she wasn’t sure.
she stabbed him. multiple times. blood was all over her dress and all over the room, all over her face and her hands.
and then she cried. she cried so much she started to gag and dry heave. no one came that night.
she fell asleep in the blood, hugging herself. the next morning she woke up to the sound of a maid screaming.
