Mark, I also miss John Lennon. He was a man who cared. I think his voice might have helped over the years.

He was another political writer, in the same terms & sense that Orwell was.

Petra, you've picked out a couple of quotations I'd forgotten, and the rhythm of them makes me think I'd like to read his poetry. George Orwell used language so precisely :)
