I've added your suggestion, Marti ... but this is for the November theme.

I like that you're thinking ahead! Deleted your Hanukkah suggestion, but still hoping for more entries.
Ok, how about this? My youngest daughter turned 40 this month. In honor of her .. how about a book with her initials ..
R J P ... any of her initials in the title or author name, or pub date in October
R J P ... any of her initials in the title or author name, or pub date in October

We invite YOU to nominate a theme for next month.
Perhaps there's a holiday (major or obscure) you want to celebrate? Maybe you want to focus on a specific genre or tag? Want to look for cover image or color? Focus on the author's initials? Whatever "theme" you can come up with is fair game.
BE SURE to include the task requirement for your theme:
Examples:
Christmas: Read a book that begins with a 'C'
Spring is Here!: Read a book with flower(s) on the cover - be sure to post the cover image.
Read a book with "COZY MYSTERY" as a genre
ONE nomination per member
To encourage participation from more members, the person who nominated LAST month's winning theme cannot nominate this month. So, Carol and Koren, you will *not* be able to submit a nomination (though you WILL be able to vote).
DEADLINE - 25 October 21 5p CST, or 5 nominations (whichever comes first)
Once the nominations are closed, we'll set up a poll for membership to vote on the theme for next month.
Nominated themes:
*
Happy B-day RJP - Initials R J P in author name or title /or/ book originally published in October (KarenK2)* Native American Heritage Month - A book with a Native American character (Patty)
