After thinking about it, I was pretty sure it wasn't Bailey. Smashing that phone would have been the smart thing to do. I don't know why he was afraid. I think he really wanted Bailey to be trying to get in touch with him because he like her.
Travis doesn't trust Bailey. He knows something and is in fear that what he knows could get him in trouble. If he were a little older, he would have trashed the phone, but he is still a kid and afraid.
I never could figure out what he was scared of. He behaved like he had something to do with her death. Was he afraid of people finding out what info he might have fed her that Bailey knew about?
I wasn't clear on that either and why Amanda needed to kill him. I guess I zoned out on that big reveal.
So, what was Travis's role in Ivy's death? The police thought he was hiding something and so did Max. I don't remember what that could be. If he knew Amanda was somehow involved, it didn't appear that he thought it was important.
The only thing I could come up with is maybe he was just worried that he might be considered a suspect because he provided Ivy with some of the information that she posted on her social media accounts. I’ll bet those videos of Heather and Chris came from Travis. Bailey probably knew about that, too.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who was lost about this point.Do we know who Ivy fought with on the phone before she left her house? Could Travis have lured her out of the house for some reason? I tried re-reading portions of the story, but can't find anything definitive.
I thought it was Travis, but now I can't recall. I returned the book to the library, so I can't search either.
